Longs purchased from local farmers are converted on a rotary lathe.
One of the first customers is Radio Corp of America/Victor Talking Machines. (15 employees) -
1923Mechanical advancementes increase quality and Ford Motor Company chooses Darlington for their vehicle detailing.

Creating stock panels for the building trade begins. -
1941Darlington is called on for the war effort.
Plywood is shipped by carload for the next several years for the building of Liberty ships! -
1943Darlington is awarded the Army-Navy "E" Award for Excellence in the war effort.
